May Story Time Down on the Farm

Join us for Story Time every Thursday in May at 10am and 2pm!

May 2nd: “May Flowers" - Happy May! This week we're reading a story about flowers, and then planting one of our own! We will show each child how to properly repot the flower of their choice, keeping all the routes intact and the plant happy and healthy. 

May 9th: “Diggin in the Dirt" - Time to start seeding our gardens! Every child will get half an egg carton to create their seed bed. We'll fill the beds with soil, plant the seeds, add a little water and voila! We have our very own miniature gardens to bring home! Then, we'll enjoy some delicious dirt and worms as a snack. 

May 16th: "Herb Heroes" - Does your kiddo have a favorite herb? Find out at this week's story time! We're taste testing the herbs we grow here on the farm, then picking our favorite to plant and bring home! 

May 23rd: "Petal Art" - Let your artistic side shine with this week's story time! We're designing our very own flower bouquet using only coffee filters, markers, and water! Watch the magic happen right before your eyes as the colors blend and spread throughout the coffee filter, creating a gorgeous design for your bouquet! 

May 30th: "Strawberry Soiree" - It's that time of year again! We're headed to the strawberry patch! Each child will get one pint to fill will strawberries (approx. 5-10 berries). Anyone looking to pick more is welcome to purchase extra picking containers in the farm store! All picked berries after the pint included with story time will be priced at $4.95 per pound and may be weighed in the farm store. Story Time tickets include entry to the patch for one child and one adult. Additional adults and children must purchase admission in the store for $3 per person.

Geared toward ages 2-6, all ages welcome. Tickets must be purchased online and are required for all children 12 months and older. Adults do not need tickets. Story Time will always meet in the large event tent across the street from the farm store. The event will take place rain or shine. No refunds or exchanges.
