What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture: "A CSA consists of a community individuals who pledge support to a farming operation where the growers and consumers share the risks and benefits of food production. CSAs consist of a system of weekly pick-up of vegetables and fruit."

Our Purpose

In Fall of 2011 we devoted ourselves to starting a CSA. Our motivation for starting a CSA program was to connect our consumers to our farm and allow them to understand and feel confident in the source of their food. Being farmers in Long Valley for 99 years, it is important to us to provide our community with the knowledge and accessibility to healthy & local produce. We want our customers to have the opportunity to get fresh produce and experience the health benefits that come along with it.

Program Details

2026 Season Details

-We are offering a 21 week season June 2 to October 22

-1 Vacation week worked into the season

-Receive weekly recipes and produce care instructions

-Substitutions allow you to remove produce you may not use and swap it for something else

-You can have your share pre-boxed or box it yourself and hand-select each items, to ensure it meets your needs

-Multiple pick up day options (Tuesday or Thursday)

-Our CSA produce is grown naturally and sustainably, without GMO seeds and using Integrated Pest Management

CSA Terms

CSA Terms of Agreement

Our CSA program is non-refundable and shares are not to be downgraded once you have signed up for the season. Members must understand that due to weather and growing conditions, produce quantities and variety may be affected and vary. By signing up and entering this CSA, members understand that there is inherent risk with the growing season, that they are taking on as shareholders.

Ort Farms Privacy Policy

The Ort Farms credit card processing and CSA membership application collects information from our consumers including full name, email address, physical address, and credit card information. This information is processed over a secure network and credit card numbers are never stored and are processed using an encrypted system. The information is only shared with our credit card processor and no third party companies.

Kids Club

Connecting Kids to the Farm!

The CSA Kids Club is an awesome new program included with every CSA membership just for kids! A couple weeks each month we will host a short craft or activity exclusively for our CSA member kids to participate in.

Our CSA Kids Club Events will include:

Pick your own sessions
Farm Tours
Scavenger Hunts
Kids Crafts
Storytimes

We plan on doing between 2-4 events on a monthly basis.

Most weekly events will be free of charge, and included in your CSA share membership. Activity weeks that include extra supplies or staffing will have a small fee for that day.
